I was looking forward to this episode but it appeared to be a bit mid. I was expecting a lot more but it really was not that exciting.

And here we go, the battle of Sekigahara has begun! The buildup before the battle was amazing. From the major characters to the soldiers were readying up with a fiery determination in their eyes to the signals that indicate they're about to attack, it was an incredible spectacle! Can't say the same about the battle itself though. For most of it, it's clunky, incohesive, and at times, boring. There are some great parts, but it just feels underwhelming overall. The last part, however, is quite a spectacle and made the battle more high stakes. Hopefully the rest of the battle will get better from here!

Using that backstory at the start is creative. Seeing Kanbei's situation creates a bit of humor in this episode. I feel bad for Kingo, pressured on whom he should side, but at the same time, it's a bit annoying. I'm quite disappointed about how the battle started.
