Synopsis
As the most powerful mage in the Kingdom of Ridill, Monica Everett can cast spells without chanting, defeated a legendary black dragon solo, and earned a seat among the Seven Sages at just fifteen years old. The catch? She developed chantless magic because she's too shy to speak in front of people. She lives alone on a mountaintop specifically to avoid human interaction. That's your protagonist. Her quiet life gets blown up when a fellow Sage assigns her a secret mission: go undercover at the elite Serendia Academy and protect the second prince, Felix, without anyone finding out who she really is. So now this socially terrified genius has to pretend to be a normal student, make small talk, attend classes, and somehow guard royalty, all while hiding the fact that she's one of the most dangerous people in the kingdom. This 13-episode TV series from Studio Gokumi is a fantasy-school blend that leans into the contrast between Monica's overwhelming power and her complete inability to hold a conversation. The tone is youthful and warm, more about her navigating friendships and academy intrigue than constant battle scenes. If you liked the overpowered-but-hiding-it dynamic from The Irregular at Magic High School, or the gentle character focus of The Ancient Magus' Bride, this sits in a similar space but with its own personality. Los personajes, sus personalidades y reacciones me parecieron muy estereotipadas y exageradas, quizá para avanzar rápido la trama? A excepcion de Louis que me parece exageradamente perfecto xDDD
This is the climax I wanted. It's really satisfying, seeing Monica stand up for herself. That scene with Bernie and Lana was THE scene I needed from this whole series. I really like Bernie, not as a bad guy, but as a character in this story. He's complex in his own way, and I really like how he bounce off Monica. And again, that scene, with magic and such, will never disappoint me. Overall, a really great episode.
I feel like the plot is moving a bit slow for a 13 episode show. This is not bad per se, and I really like that the show is taking its time on characters, but I also understand if some people dislike this. We do get a great progress after what Monica had found in this episode, but I think the main focus is still on Monica's character. We get scenes like when Monica having to force herself to speak up, or even at the end with her and Cyril. Of course, I also like how we get bits and pieces of Monica's past and not an entire section of flashback, weaving it into the story as we go.
The first episode of The Silent Witch. The premise is clear, with why Monica can do what she does in the world she lives in. And the plot seemed to be clear from the get go, with Louis explaining it to Monica directly. I really like how clear cut everything is. The animation is really good too, especially because this is a magic centric anime, so my expectation is quite high. Overall a really good beginning! (I alrealy know, my favorite character would be Isabelle)
I love the growth Monica has had! If she had the people she has now around during magic school, she could've learned so much more! Also, the stakes have risen with the intruder.
A new mystery a foot! Monica is a social disaster but so cute. There is romantic undertones in the series but I'm wagering my doubloons on Cyril.

Today's ep is so much better. That balance between the light, tense, unexpected moment and their funny, nervous moments is a major plus. The stakes are finally physical. Tight pacing, gorgeous animation. I'm hooked.
The way they balance high-stakes tension with quiet comedy is a chef's kiss. The writing makes a massive misunderstanding feel incredibly urgent, pushing the pace without losing that cozy slice-of-life charm. Plus, the pristine academy visuals make the setting pop.
Really enjoyed the first episode. The pacing is calm without dragging, and the writing makes everyday moments surprisingly entertaining while hinting at bigger things ahead. The visuals are polished and expressive. It never feels rushed, which makes it easy to get invested.
Este animé no es lo que esperaba, es bastante lento y no es demasiado profundo en su trama, muy al contrario, es una serie ligera con una suave comedia cuyo objetivo principal es mostrar como se desarrolla el personaje principal, la brujita del silencio, y no como maga, sino como persona en un ambiente y personas acorde a su edad. La protagonista es adorable y los capítulos finales son bestialmente buenos.
Hermoso, este último capítulo fue bellísimo!!! Una batalla de magia brillante, un escenario precioso y un compañero cálido y amable junto a momentos muy emotivos.
Que hermoso episodio! El mejor que he visto hasta ahora, el ambiente, los vestuarios, la música, la interacción entre personajes y el ambiente melancólico quedo bellísimo.
No fue un capítulo muy satisfactorio pero siempre es un agrado ver a Monica usar su magia 😊
