I feel like the plot is moving a bit slow for a 13 episode show. This is not bad per se, and I really like that the show is taking its time on characters, but I also understand if some people dislike this. We do get a great progress after what Monica had found in this episode, but I think the main focus is still on Monica's character. We get scenes like when Monica having to force herself to speak up, or even at the end with her and Cyril. Of course, I also like how we get bits and pieces of Monica's past and not an entire section of flashback, weaving it into the story as we go.
A new mystery a foot! Monica is a social disaster but so cute. There is romantic undertones in the series but I'm wagering my doubloons on Cyril.
The way they balance high-stakes tension with quiet comedy is a chef's kiss. The writing makes a massive misunderstanding feel incredibly urgent, pushing the pace without losing that cozy slice-of-life charm. Plus, the pristine academy visuals make the setting pop.
