Secrets of the Silent Witch Episode 9: The Hidden Secret

The aftermath of the previous episode. As I said before, the author and animators really knows how to set a scene to make a viewer to feel how they wanted to, which is great. The animation during that scene with Casey was great, we really felt how Monica was feeling, even though I know it was wrong. The OST was beautiful, really complimenting the scene. We also get a little snippet on the Prince's backstory, which is neat. But that last scene was the one that kind of broke me, maybe after seeing how much what happened in the previous episode had affected Monica, hearing her apologizing was the nail in the coffin to make sure I was saddened after this episode.

This was a good episode. The closes the previous arc by tying up loose ends while setting up for the next part. I'm sad that this show is only 13 episodes long.

Keeping up the intense energy from the last episode. But then it hits a wall and becomes totally skippable. The writing just drops off, the visuals get flat, and the pace is slow. Huge letdown after such a great peak.

It was funny how Monica described what she did in the previous episode as if it were just a simple task. The resolution to the events wasn’t tragic but it was still heartbreaking. There is a brief flashback showing how Elliot is connected to Ridill. It also reveals a rather surprising side of Ridill from when he was young. This episode also reveals who the hooded figure behind Monica in Ep 1 really was. I genuinely thought it was an enemy spy at first.
