Secrets of the Silent Witch Episode 5: The Adventure of the Silent Witch

This is such a cute episode. After what happened in prior episode, we finally witnessing Monica doing what students are supposed to do. And this episode really did bring us how much Monica had been trying to put herself out there, from the start with her conversation with Nero, and even at the end with her choice of classes, Monica's growth is palpable. I do wonder where the story will go to after this, or will it turn into a slice of life instead.

Nothing extreme happened this episode. We are seeing a build up to an event with the increased sabotage. Also, Monica finding chess intriguing makes too much sense.

This episode captures the sheer panic of intense social anxiety so well. The internal stress with a really brisk, fun pace. The animation looks incredibly clean too, especially during those tense, quiet moments.

This episode introduces several new characters who are either quirky or intriguing. It once again showcases how terrifying Monica's mastery and application of no-chant magic truly is. The episode also highlights her talents beyond calculations and numbers, showing that she excels in many other areas as well.

P.S. The scene at the end of this episode is beautiful, the artwork and sunset effects are truly exceptional 😘👌
