Rumiko Takahashi Anthology

This was a great commendable compilation of Rumiko Takahashi's works. All the episodes were totally absorbing and relatable. The animation was smooth and captivating, as it was done in the early 2000s. Beyond the amazing writing, some episodes were perfectly paced, while others were kept dragged. But overall, it was an amazing experience for me since it was my very first time watching an anthology, and I'm truly a fan of InuYasha and Ranma ½.

This was a chaotic plot but the ending was satisfying to end this anthology. Poor Gorgeous, though. It looks like it isn't gorgeous but rather a funny-looking Golden Retriever after the mischief. Hence, Kogure was an understanding character and he didn't let down his family, leading to a fulfilling finish.

It had a slow start and was interesting at first. But when Hanako got paranoid and kept dragging the whole situation, I felt extremely annoyed. The tone was a little mysterious but as the plot deepens, it was all worth the wait. The ending was heartwarming and a relief, though.

This episode was a bit dreamy. The thoughts of Shinonome set in the past with his family right in front of him were a little too ambitious. The tone was pretentious, having unrequited feelings for a long time, taking his chances at repetitive Shima's name chanting, was over the top. The animation on this was smooth, and the mood was kind of bland.

The pacing was just too slow, and Ritsuko together with Hirooka just kept dragging on for long to finally say it until the ending. The animation with the masks was quite repetitive, too. But what was more interesting to see was some familiar and remarkable characters and visuals were cameos in this ep too. I thought that Dept Manager was Doumoto right on that train track. With the crab shabu, Hoppy the rabbit, and Atchara, the ep became interesting to watch and was anticipating who would pass by.

It was a bittersweet and compelling ep. Wonderful writing from Takahashi-sensei as the plot was totally absorbing. The ending was melancholic and depressing, as people truly value others when they are gone. The pretentious tone certainly increased the thrilling romantic feelings. The somber weather nailed the atmosphere of the visual. Not expecting the cameo of Shiratori and the other tenants to be in here, too. Also that struggling actor resembled Miroku of InuYasha with that hair tied.

This episode was decent, but it was probably not very impactful, as it focused on some women's and wives' trivial conversations. The tone was pretty conceited as Shiratori was one proud woman. The plot of this ep was mysterious at first and the anticipation was totally high stakes, but as the story progressed, it was shallow, slow-paced, and was bizarre.

This was one hell of a crutch ride! Not in a million years expecting that plot twist right at the end! This episode was one of the wildest and weirdest plots ever. It was all good until she came back and had powers — that was a pretty fictional turn of events. The tone was strange, funny, and mind-boggling. Takanezawa's visuals were good-looking in this classic art style.

Loved the season's ending episode.. It was funny, chaotic and some secrete 'affair' drama😂. That final act by Kogure was so bold- it was surprising yet weird and funny. Gorgeous was such a clever girl fr!! Overall, I liked the season's first half than the rest! It's a light comedy with good overall pacing. 8/10

That was rather a confusing ending. Why was he looking for her? Well, this was probably my least ep by far. Doumoto was a conceited character, but he didn't have a strong impact character in this series despite his loud voice. I think that Hosoda was much more interesting than Doumoto, though. The pacing of the character development was slower than usual and nothing eventful happened in this part of the anthology.

This was rather an engaging episode. Hilarious and weird imaginations were circling around the advanced mind of Hazuki. The tone was definitely intriguing, along with the unsettling vibe of the plot. The BGM certainly made an impact by giving the ep a little push to imply the mystery of the story. The funny scenes were perfect and it's quite unexpected when you least expected it. Reminded me of Naraku of InuYasha in that curly hair of Hazuki at the inn.

Masterpiece writing! This ep never ceases to amaze me. I really liked how creepy this was at the very start and I thought I was watching Detective Conan theme-like with a horror vibe. The background music was eerie and the tone became mysterious and thrilling at the same time. The backstory of Mrs. Tonegawa was tragic and painful, leaving the mood of this ep melancholic.

This episode symbolizes the quality time with family. The tone was heartwarming yet a little concerning as Furuta wanted some bonding moments but was totally ignored. This situation reminded me of Uchiyamada of GTO, when he wanted the best for his family but they couldn't see his effort. The artwork was simple and retro, but the animation was smooth.
