This episode was a bit dreamy. The thoughts of Shinonome set in the past with his family right in front of him were a little too ambitious. The tone was pretentious, having unrequited feelings for a long time, taking his chances at repetitive Shima's name chanting, was over the top. The animation on this was smooth, and the mood was kind of bland.
Finding closure with your "what-if" crush after 25 years is a rare opportunity. That's exactly what happened to Shinonome-kun. I have to admit, though, it threw me off a bit since it still felt like low-key emotional cheating to fantasize about another woman while being married... or am I just overreacting? 😂 To be fair, the episode hinted that his marriage was already lacking emotional connection, so I could understand where he was coming from. Nonetheless, I'm glad everything fell into place in the end, making the conclusion feel satisfying enough. LOL
Old, salary men and their never ending fantasies about their childhood crushes! It had bit of same story about the old man and his family. This thoughts during train scene were hilarious yet I didn't like it. Can watch if you like to see old school love story(otherwise skip)
