Synopsis

Death has become routine for Subaru Natsuki, who has died more times than he can count, with every reset chipping away at him a little more. If you've been following Re:Zero, you already know this isn't your typical isekai power fantasy — it's closer to a psychological horror story wearing fantasy clothes. Season 4 picks up after the brutal events at Priestella, where Subaru's group technically won but lost a lot in the process. To find answers, Subaru and his allies head for the Pleiades Watchtower, deep in the desert wastes of Garkla, searching for a mysterious wise man named Shaula who supposedly knows everything. The journey itself is dangerous, and the tower promises to be worse. White Fox is back at the helm for this TV series airing in 2026, adapting the next arc from the light novels. The tone stays heavy — this is a show where Subaru's biggest enemy has always been the weight of his own choices and trauma, and that only deepens here. If you liked the time-loop anguish of Steins;Gate or wanted The Rising of the Shield Hero to go harder on the psychological side, Re:Zero has been doing that thing for years now. Season 4 looks like it's not letting up.
