QUICK TAKES

This episode broke me in ways I didn't expect 😭 The psychological horror is terrifying. Subaru seeing things, questioning himself, unraveling completely. The voices are getting to him and it hurts to watch. The way the episode portrays his deteriorating mental state is a masterpiece.

This is very interesting episode, I like the chaos underneath it. The mysteries and questions are overwhelming. The effects and sound are top, animation is great. The psychological trauma is really agonizing, this is such an amazing episode.

Honestly, I think I'm lost with the events happening but it was still good. The fact that it keeps the viewers think within the details proves that the storyline is good!

This one is really scary, feels like a horror movie. The studio really executed this episode very well and awesome. This episode really made me many question about it. Also kinda curious about what happen on the next episode. It's getting interesting in every episode

It felt like watching a horror movie, except the culprit and victim role POV were reversed... Meili’s backstory also really takes me back to Season 1 and I loved that.
This episode genuinely made me feel stressed, tense, and suspicious with every character in the cast.

This episode made me question almost everything. Every character interaction felt suspicious, even when nothing obvious was happening. Lowkey one of the creepiest episodes in a while.

BROOOO he atmosphere was incredible. Every conversation felt wrong in a way that's hard to explain, like something was broken long before anyone noticed it.

This episode was straight-up psychological horror. The mystery barely moves forward, but Subaru's mental state falls down an entire staircase. Wtf

EPISODE CONTEXT
Arriving at the halfway point of the 19-episode season, this episode follows 'Empty Shell,' which left characters fractured and uncertain in the wake of recent conflict. 'Murder Is a Habit' pivots inward — using Meili's backstory and Subaru's psychological state to recontextualize what the season has built so far. It functions as a pressure-release valve before the narrative's next escalation, seeding emotional and thematic threads that the back half of the season will almost certainly pull tight.
