Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan

I was hoping for more intense action with a wide array of techniques, but I didn't find that in this final battle. The gathering of the Nura Clan, joined by Rikuo's human friends, served as a diplomatic conclusion to the season.

Given the few episodes remaining, I expected the fight sequences to feel rushed—and that is exactly what happened. While this formula is often perfectly reasonable for making way for the climactic battle, this time it felt like an ill-fitting way to wrap things up.

This episode features plenty of fight scenes. Every member of the Nura Clan gets a chance to see some action. It’s the first time I’ve seen Yuki-onna in serious mode.

I didn't expect the build-up to take this long. The major battle should have started by now so that there would be plenty of action, and the fights wouldn't end so quickly. It might have been better if there had been an element of a surprise attack before the episode ended.

A major battle seems to be fast approaching. Throughout the episode, Rikuo gradually sheds his doubts. I think he is ready to fight, fueled by the spirit and loyalty of his comrades.

A bit disappointed because the fight scene was too short, and Inugami seemed to be nerfed so he wouldn't be stronger than the main villain.

And once again, my prediction about Kiyotsugu came true. It really is a hassle having a friend like this. But it adds complexity and dynamic elements to the main storyline. It feels like this formula appears often.

Finally, my guy is back in action. The last thing that stuck in my mind was him being unable to get off the train. The atmosphere has returned to a classic, eerie vibe. It’s quite refreshing.

Kiyotsugu really never learns, though you can't exactly blame him since he has no idea about the consequences. Rikuo has really grown as a character. He comes across as more mature and responsible.

This episode doesn't feature many combat scenes, yet it still delivers comedic moments at the Nura household. Poor Shima is gradually witnessing yokai sightings—albeit due to the yokai's own carelessness.

I like Tamazuki's personality. He has plenty of guts, even when facing Rikuo and the Nura Clan. Aside from that, I also quite enjoy the scenes that showcase the abilities of the Nura Clan's Yokai.

This episode takes things to a different level. The enemy this time is more tactical and cautious; they are not reckless and diligently monitor the situation. Slowly but surely, the threat they pose is becoming increasingly real.

Yura gave it her best shot. I feel sorry for that injured shikigami. Muchi’s character felt a bit weak, there was definitely room to explore him more deeply. I like the fashion style that inspired his look.

Even though it came somewhat late, the action scene performed by Yura more than made up for it. I saw a different side of Yura compared to before, and I’m curious to see what other surprises she has in store.

This episode felt like a breath of fresh air, in my opinion. Kana has now taken center stage. I can't imagine being trapped the way she is. A mysterious new group is starting to leave its mark.

I see the conflict of interest from Gyuuki's perspective. I also witness a side of Rikuo's wisdom that we rarely see, which further enhances his charisma.

Gyuuki's touching tragic back story makes me sympathize with him so far. even though from episode 01 I was suspicious of him. Kudos to the visual depiction of Gyuuki which immediately got attention

I wasn't particularly fond of the story's pacing in this episode. The one thing that really stuck with me was the action scene at the hot spring, even though Rikuo felt more human during other fight scenes.

A journey turns dangerous when a hidden enemy launches a surprise trap. the dark vibe feels scary and matches the stupid courage. I think Kiyotsugu will receive his reward someday.

Romantic feelings resemble a triangle, or even a quadrilateral. Everyone doubts one another and hides their true feelings. The atmosphere shifts drastically from cheerfulness to unease.
