Gyuuki's touching tragic back story makes me sympathize with him so far. even though from episode 01 I was suspicious of him. Kudos to the visual depiction of Gyuuki which immediately got attention

Wah... yang ini atmosfernya berubah cukup drastis. Nuansa zaman Heian cocok banget sama tema yokai dan secara visual juga memberikan rasa yang berbeda dari episode biasanya. Gyuki dapat porsi yang cukup besar, tapi aku nggak akan ngomong lebih jauh soal itu 😭 Pokoknya episode ini bikin kesanku terhadap karakternya jadi lebih kompleks aja.

The pacing was rather slow on this one, but it did not effect the quality of the plot as the ep was focused on Gyuuki's backstory. The animation, especially in the action scenes, was peak! Nurarihyon was sooo cool, too! Funny how he and Rikuo have the same features, except the eyes, though. Gyuuki's past was dreadful, leading the tone of this ep was miserable and intense.
