A rather standalone final episode with Kotoko solving a confusing case yet again. I really hope for more seasons in the future given that the manga and LN series have more interesting cases to come that shows Kotoko and Kuro's dynamics.

The Otonashis getting worked up as they move towards the woven lies about Sumi's murder, Kuro getting caught up with everything, as well as Kotoko's absolute conclusions, it's rather very twisted but also beautiful in its own way.

A slower, dialogue-heavy episode compared to the previous ones, but really it presents a complicated dynamic among the Otonashis regarding Sumi's death, but it is very interesting to see Kotoko weaving rather logical explanations for what are basically lies, as well as Rion trying to solve the mystery.

One of Goichiro's grandchildren, Rion, becomes a key character and I can't help but root for her as Rion manages to dig through the logical threaded lies Kotoko weaves in order to cover Sumi Otonashi's murder.

A very twisted murder case involving the Otonashi Group and its patriarch, so Kotoko, with Kuro's support, dives in to the case to not only solve this case, but to also keep balance between ayakashi caught up with this, and the humans surrounding it. Despite the slower pacing and dialogue-heavy episode, it stays very interesting so far.

Another perfect episode, especially with Tae handling things as Kotoko and Kuro get involved due to Zenta's grudges from the unfair circumstances he suffered finally taking root.

This is my favorite episode beside the Yuki-Onna ones, especially that Tae is a great grandma character, and her bakeneko is the best!

This episode is very much a montage showing three key players, Kotoko, Kuro and this time, the pivotal character from S1, Rikka. The banter and connections between those three are fun to watch, and despite this episode being dialogue-heavy, it's very interesting connecting the dots with those three.

The true culprit for the murder Masayuki got caught up with as a suspect was an unexpected perso, and it's really fun how Kotoko's logic and investigation leg work helped her resolve everything, alongside with some help from Yuki-Onna and the other yokai. I'm definitely rooting for him and Yuki-Onna to hopefully work it out even with Masayuki's mortal life.

Masayuki's kindness definitely lead to the problem he was facing, and Yuki-Onna was totally right to berate him for it. I love the banter in this episode despite the pacing being slower, and it's fun to see Kotoko finaly getting involved.

We now get introduced to Masayuki and the Yuki-Onna, and their bond is beautiful and very exciting to watch. Their connection very much feels like Kuro and Kotoko's, and it just raised the stakes of this arc from the very start.

Apparently this episode was an anime-only episode written by Kyo Shirodaira himself! It's a very chill one, with Kotoko solving the mystery of a ssupernatural presence in an apartment, and it was fun seeing her shenanigans as well as her banter with Kuro.

The crazy Goddess of Wisdom and her immortal boyfriend is back! Honestly, this series is really fun, I'm just disappointed they had to choose to animate the Yuki-Onna arc as it was rather popular, instead of just animating the whole series, especially given this LN series deserves a full adaptation.

The whole atmosphere shifts into something heavier while the Japanese food cultures are a great touch. Kajio’s obsession drove him into a chaotic life, but his realization of the guilt is one of the highlights. I kinda agree with Kotoko about the burden of Kajio's toxic love.

The way everyone’s alibi align so perfectly, just how brilliant the writing is. But once the actual reveal, the situation turns completely upside down. The plot twists are so bizarre, especially Koya, behind his ultimate poker face, there’s a completely unhinged personality.

Rion completely stands out, her open-minded perspective on her grandma is incredibly impressive by refusing to take the past personally with objective maturity. Tbh, the pressure Sumi was under, it paints a pretty dark picture, even of tragic situations ruined into the family.

Even though Rion is trapped in the middle of all chaos, she stands out for her ability to understand the narrative apart from everyone's alibi. When you map out, every single one of Sumi’s children had plotted in a dark scheme, it’s wild, their relationship so incredibly toxic.

Goichi’s dedication is such a massive plot point, he’s actively proving his own mistake against egocentric wife. It’s so rare to see a character commit to the truth. Kotoko and Kuro are literally hilarious, their conversations perfectly cuts the high-tension of the investigation.

This plot is mind-blowing, but honestly, seeing Tae’s character development hits harder. She’s lowkey the patience ones against how people perceive her and dealing with chaotic moments. Meanwhile Kuro completely locked in to handle the tense situation before the hatred.

Tae’s physique is unusual for her age, her non-scientific skepticism toward supernatural phenomena makes sense. Despite the mayor's act like a believer in unusual activities, this episode has an amazing plot. The chubby cat is exactly like an old man, one of the best parts.
