Masayuki's kindness definitely lead to the problem he was facing, and Yuki-Onna was totally right to berate him for it. I love the banter in this episode despite the pacing being slower, and it's fun to see Kotoko finaly getting involved.

Honestly, Masayuki is literally too nice for his own good, imagining being a soft-hearted person and completely chill with people who tried to mess up his life. Despite the plot getting tangled up, his yokai bestie was hard-working to save his name, lowkey heartwarming moments.
