j_k_c★★★★☆AnimeIS THIS WORTH WATCHING? Here are my points to consider (Considering you have watched Season 1) ALL EPISODES ARE CANON You have read the manga and wanna know if the anime follows the sequence of the manga? Nope, the studio rearranges the order to group similar themes together Yes, it is the same as the previous season which has a heavy reference with either pop culture or about myths and yokai Animation didn't change much but the animation of the OP and ED is really surprising You're looking for more action scene because of the flashy OP right? Unfortunately there isn't much here This is a rather educational watch for me (I have learned additional stuff about Japanese myths and some yokai) This is not for everyone. Why you ask? If you aren't knowledgeable about Japanese mythology and yokai, some jokes relating to them wouldn't have an impact you. Another is the Japanese word play that loses its meaning because of poor localization. It pretty much would be like an inside joke
j_k_c★★★★☆VerifiedEP 13This is a very different final episode compared to the previous season. Not only does it introduce some new characters, but the overall atmosphere truly feels like a proper finale. The event being celebrated also fits surprisingly well with the feeling of a final episode. The decision to play the previous season's opening theme during the ending sequence was a thoughtful touch that added a sense of nostalgia and helped bring the season to a memorable close.
j_k_c★★★★☆VerifiedEP 12The first story introduces Gokan, the Fourth King of Hell, and explores how his department operates. It also features a certain foreign god who would have been a perfect fit for the second story of the previous episode. The second story focuses on the hot springs found in both Hell and Shangri-la. I wasn't expecting the episode to include a fourth-wall-breaking scene, so it came as a genuinely surprising moment.
j_k_c★★★★☆VerifiedEP 11The first story caught me off guard. At first, I thought it would be a typical story about Hozuki experiencing what having a family feels like and eventually realizing that his workplace is his true family. However, the story suddenly took an unexpected turn that completely changed my expectations 🤣. The second story explores more about the dogs working in Hell. While it does feature monster dogs, I felt that this part was somewhat lacking. It was nice to see a Jinmenken (Jin- ikemen , this was a clever word play btw) but I think it would have been better if the episode had included at least a cameo appearance of other yokai dogs as well.
