This episode introduces a creature from Chinese mythology called the Kyonshi, or Jiangshi in Chinese. It also gives a proper introduction to Godotenrin, the 10th King of Hell and the youngest of the Ten Kings, along with his assistant Chun, who only had short appearances in Season 1 Episodes 3 and 10. Aside from introducing these characters, the episode also gives a glimpse into Godotenrin's past and Chun's relationship with Hakutaku.
