Goblin Slayer
Oshimeter
Synopsis
In nearly every fantasy world you can think of, goblins serve as the tutorial enemies, the trash mobs you grind through before fighting the real threats. Goblin Slayer takes that assumption and tears it apart. In the first episode, a group of rookie adventurers walks into a goblin cave expecting easy work. What they get instead is a brutal, horrifying wake-up call that sets the tone for the entire 12-episode TV series. The only one who takes goblins seriously is the Goblin Slayer himself, a silver-ranked adventurer in battered armor who has dedicated his entire life to one thing: killing goblins. Not demons, not dragons, just goblins. He knows their tactics, their nesting patterns, their cruelty, and he approaches every extermination like a methodical, single-minded machine. After he rescues a young Priestess from her party's failed quest, the two form an unlikely partnership and gradually build a group of companions who join his unglamorous crusade. Studio White Fox doesn't shy away from the gore or the darkness here: this is a world where being an adventurer can get you killed on day one, and the show makes sure you feel that weight. If you're into darker fantasy like Re:Monster or wanted something grittier than Banished from the Hero's Party, this scratches that itch. Just know going in that the first episode hits hard and the tone stays unflinching throughout.

Goblin slayer episode 1 is overly brutal and disturbing. Too much violence and sexual abuse and relies too heavily on shock value, The storytelling good, but I wouldn't recommend this to a Gen Alpha who are new to anime because of its graphics content and uncomfortable scene.
This is a solid dark fantasy series that had a lot of ideas used from traditional fantasy and DND. Tourist beware this isn’t your typical Isekai slop or plot armor one piece
The ending battle with the goblin lord was very anti climatic. Needed some good action sequences. Good little wholesome ending but needed more from the boss battle. Mid one
Man the way goblin slayer asks for help by putting everything on the line from the adventurers is such a heart touching moment! Satisfying action as it sucks you into the emotion of the battle. Death to all goblins!!
A good little breather episode that proves as a good filler. Keeps the pacing interesting. Good insight into Goblin slayer's past and reasons for his actions. The food in this episode looks and sounds delicious. A brewing romantic angle but I maybe wrong.
Perfect pacing again for this episode however I would like to see some different kind of action as its becoming predictable. The improvised use of sling by the goblin slayer is satisfying. Dont quite support the sword maiden's point of view but she has her reasons i guess.
The episode begins on some pretty racy grounds but settles into a good world building episode. The ending with some action and a good plot development keeps the pacing perfect! Good to see the human side of the goblin slayer. Emotions and romance on the sidelines. Good watch
Oh man this one is the best episode so far. The level of tactics from both ends is gradually scaling up. Brutal battle with some pro level battle knowledge from Goblin slayer. The cliffhanger is a punch in the gut.
Good chunk of some fast paced action in this one. Goblin slayer is surgical in battle as usual. The series is settling into a familiar pace with action episodes followed by some slow paced world building ones. Good battle scenes with some hack and slash sequences.
Almost a filler episode to break the momentum from the previous battle. Good animation. Feels fresh to see the goblin slayer be a part of some daily activities in the kingdom. Slow pacing but works for this episode.
The battle prowess of Goblin Slayer is on full display in this episode. Good to see his companions carrying their own weight and helping him out. This can turn out to be a good team. Some satisfying fast paced action in this. Animation quality is improving as well. Good watch
Given the intense start of the series, this episode brings form to the structure! Good to see some light hearted moments between the battle party and the new characters. Slow paced but good build up. Feels like some intense battle is coming. The hype of Goblin Slayer is real!
It was great but.... I would say the boss battle for MC's scene was not as epic as we would see in the other battles esp in episode 7. Other adventurers' battles as a whole were still won this episode, instead of MC's fight scene. Overall, still a good ending eps.
MC is definitely strategically genius, it's so satisfying to see like a whole guild co-op together. The brutality of the goblins was insanely well captured. The tense was great, the fight scenes were amazing.
Another breather episode, we'll finally see much more of Goblin Slayer's past trauma in here. Totally skipable episode if you're not into it. Overall, I like it when we can take a breath before we get into the last battle of the series. It's heartwarming to see MC's day off.
Finally, a goblin wiping out episode for their water town quest. Although we wouldn't see as much tension and epicness as we had seen in episode 7, it's a pretty good resolution for their quest. Still happy to finally see them again, well coordinated at their party!
Kinda didn't expect there to be a plot twist in the MC's background story before he became a Goblin Slayer in this episode. Also, ain't no way ya'll miss this episode ^o^ spicy and controversial.
Damnnnn, I wasn't expecting the comeback scene though! The tension was shocking, the fighting scene was great, and this is also the time we're going to see their party facing even greater difficulties during battle.
This is it! another goblin slaying! After the last breath-taking episode, we finally got another epic battle. It's always satisfying to see them fighting together in the same party. This episode was unexpected lol, also we were introduced to a new core character in the series!
This episode focuses more on the side characters' story and perspective. After all the tenses in the last episode, this one is the time to take some breaths before the storm. Good to watch, but also reasonable to skip it, though.
