VerifiedIf you think this is just another shounen adventure show, turn back now. If you're faint of heart, this isn’t the anime for you. The episode started out as a normal scene on any adventure anime then as the scene progresses it then plunges you to the dark side of things like being doused with a cold water called reality. The sountrack is a banger🤘and the VA of Goblin Slayer perfectly matches with the character just like what I imagined him when I was reading the LN.

VerifiedGoblin slayer episode 1 is overly brutal and disturbing. Too much violence and sexual abuse and relies too heavily on shock value, The storytelling good, but I wouldn't recommend this to a Gen Alpha who are new to anime because of its graphics content and uncomfortable scene.

Complete shocker of an episode. Things get brutal quick. Animation reminds me of World of warcraft style character design. Good pacing. Sets a very intense tone. Goblin slayer's entry is dominating and fighting style is relentless. On to the next!
