It succeeds because it's funny, character-driven, and self-aware. Akihisa Yoshii makes the series fun, but the ensemble cast and battle gimmick elevate it into a parody of school life and shōnen anime that's both ridiculous and endearing
What a great way to end this season. This is easily one of the best school-life comedy anime I’ve watched. I’m actually really sad that it’s over now, and I know I’m going to miss watching it.
The season is now approaching its final episodes, and this one perfectly sets up what’s to come next. I really like the premise, and having returning characters take on the role of the villains only made it better.
Hands down, this is one of the best episodes of this anime. The chemistry between Yuuji and Shouko really stands out here and is a major highlight. I’d even go as far as to say they make the best pairing in the series, even better than the main couple.
This episode was tense from start to finish, which was surprising for its genre. I really enjoyed the character drama and how it added meaningful development, while still balancing emotional moments and keeping me invested in the cast.
A finale that understands exactly what series it belongs to. The action, romance, comedy, and complete stupidity all collide into one giant mess, and I mean that as a compliment. It leaves enough progress to feel rewarding while preserving the franchise's chaotic identity.
Ever since the training camp arc, I feel like the quality of the story has been steadily improving. The character development has gotten stronger while still staying true to the series' comedic nature, and that's exactly what I liked about this episode.
The RPG inspired setup feels like Baka Test embracing its love for games and strategic nonsense. It is chaotic, creative, and packed with character interactions. The episode mainly serves as a stage setter, but it does so with plenty of entertainment value.
I really enjoyed this episode because it struck the perfect balance between comedy and character drama. It did an excellent job of portraying how difficult her past was and how her feelings gradually developed, all while staying true to the comedic charm that I enjoy most about this anime.
One of the strongest episodes in the entire franchise. It reframes a relationship that many viewers only saw as a running gag and gives it genuine emotional weight. The humor takes a back seat, and honestly, the episode is better for it.
What a great way to end this arc! I was laughing all the way up until the final scene of the episode. It even has a special ED, which made it even better.
This episode balances romantic progression and stupidity far better than most comedy anime manage. There are genuine feelings underneath all the schemes, misunderstandings, and sabotage. The cast remains hilarious, but the emotional stakes feel noticeably higher.
The romantic tension finally crashes headfirst into the comedy. What I love here is that nobody handles the situation like a normal human being. Every attempt at communication somehow creates three new problems. Pure romcom warfare.
A major tone shift that gives Minami much needed depth. Instead of relying on her usual comedy role, the episode explores why she acts the way she does. It is sweet, awkward, and surprisingly sincere without abandoning the show's trademark humor.
The payoff episode for the training camp madness. Everything escalates beyond reason and somehow keeps escalating. Beneath the insanity, the romantic subplot finally starts moving in ways that make future episodes feel more meaningful instead of purely episodic.
ugh I'm somehow conflicted by the ending and I'm completely and utterly dissapointed that they don't have another season😭 that little Yuuji and Shouko scene was pretty sweet though. Overall, really nice way to wrap up the season, but a lot of things still need clearing up!!
I LOVED this episode! The humor and chaotic comedy in this one was truly one of the best😭🫶🏻 especially the scene where Minami summoned her beast and asked Aki what he thought of it HAHA. That was hands down my fav comedic scene. Plus, the halloween concept and having the beasts turn into mythical creatures or warriors was pretty cool!
This is officially my favorite arc of this anime, just above the Striker Sigma V arc. It’s hilarious watching them try to peek, especially with boys from other classes getting involved as well. Honestly, this is peak school-life comedy anime.
Peak episode! I absolutely loved the comedy skits and the overall premise of this episode. I'm really excited to see how this arc will end and what kind of chaos they'll cause while trying to find the culprit.
I really enjoyed this episode for its usual comedy and antics. I usually dislike dense characters, but in this show, I can't help but like him since he's so clueless yet genuinely wholesome that it's hard not to root for him.
