12-sai.: Chicchana Mune no Tokimeki

Honestly, I usually prefer a slower and more deliberate burn for this kind of concept. In this episode, given how young the characters are, the fast progress felt a bit abrupt and absurd to me. I do not really mind their age though because they look so cute and charming, especially with those well-executed animation reactions. And the narrative framework also does a great job mirroring aspects of teenage puberty. Unfortunately, it is just that the buildup happened way too fast. But yeah, I will just wait and see how the story unfolds in the long run.

The animation greatly resembled the late 2000s and it was really great, even the artwork and style. The OP and ED were quite decent, too. The pacing was just a little too fast, just like the first ep. Everything went at lightning speed at the end but the first half was just slow and steady. That touching of the arms was troubling and revealing it was not I have in mind.

Suprised with how fast-paced this ep was. Everything went out so quickly, and in that instance, Ayase changed her point suddenly. Not a fan of this age reference, but I was imagining that they were teens and much taller. Takao reminded me of Kazehaya from Kimi ni Todoke with those one-eyed visuals. The artwork and style resembled Fruits Basket. Don't miss out that end credit scene, though.
