Synopsis
Every student in school knows to fear Hiyori Hiwamura. they call her 'Scary-Scary Sensei' and whisper about curses befalling anyone who gets on her bad side. Second-year student Akihito Abikura gets assigned to her homeroom and braces for the worst. Then one day after school, he stumbles into an empty classroom and finds her... practicing lessons on a row of stuffed animals, reading from sticky notes because she's too shy to speak off the cuff in front of actual humans. The gap between her terrifying reputation and her real personality is so ridiculous it basically rewires his brain on the spot. What follows is a warm, low-stakes romantic comedy where Akihito starts quietly helping Hiyori get through her daily teaching struggles, and the two of them develop this sweet dynamic built on a secret only he knows. The whole thing runs on gap moe, that contrast between how someone appears and who they actually are, and it nails the tone without getting too saccharine. Brain's Base is handling the animation, with character designs by Naoki Aisaka that really sell the comedic beats. If you liked the slow-burn mutual understanding in Komi Can't Communicate or the teasing dynamic from Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro, this hits a similar frequency. There's also some Toradora energy in how it peels back first impressions to find something genuine underneath. It's the kind of show that just puts you in a good mood.

I really felt for Mizuri in this episode because she spent the whole time trying to convince herself that she only had maternal feelings for Akihito and then he completely proved her wrong by protecting her from that falling box and it was such a great moment to see her finally realize that she is actually in love with him
The bathroom scene with Hiyori was absolutely hilarious because she was just trying to be a good teacher and ended up falling into the tub and then the sister walked in at the worst time
I couldn't believe it when Mizuri finally admitted she loves Akihito after he caught that heavy furniture box and seeing her run away in a total panic made me laugh so much
The nurse outfit competition between Mizuri and Yuki felt a bit like the show was trying too hard with the fanservice but it was still funny seeing them try to heal his wrist with body heat
Mizuri shoving Akihito's wrist into her chest to heal him was the most chaotic thing in the episode and her face turning red immediately after was priceless
Akihito calling Mizuri out for being the clumsy one in their childhood memories was a great twist on her protector image and it really changed how they see each other
Those guys in class calling Akihito the harem king for having two girls in nurse outfits around him was funny because he looked so miserable the whole time
That training session at the end with the tracksuit and the ropes was totally bizarre, and I have no idea what Hiyori was thinking there. It feels like this show keeps finding new ways to put her in these suggestive positions while she stays completely oblivious to how it looks to everyone else, especially Akihito who is struggling
Mizuri finally realizing she is in love after Akihito caught that heavy furniture box was such a sweet moment and it makes their childhood friend dynamic feel so much more real
I cannot believe Hiyori really tried the naked apron move from that manual and her sister walking in on them in the tub was the most awkward thing ever
Hiyori telling Mizuri that her romantic feelings were just maternal instincts shows how little she actually knows about dating and her advice made the whole situation ten times more confusing
Yuki rubbing Akihito's wrist against her leg in that nurse outfit was insane and it made me laugh so hard when Mizuri tried to one-up her with the cleavage thing

Hiyori jumping in to block the view of Momopi after the swimsuit incident was cool and she really is a caring teacher for looking out for her students like that
I thought the maid surprise at the house was pretty funny and Hiyori looked so embarrassed in that outfit while trying to act professional and it made me laugh
