The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses

I am utterly disappointed by the ending. That was a whole lotta nothing but not much development + no season 2 in sight. That makes it really weak as a romance show. It was funny/cute at times and had its moments, but it's still a lot of beating around the bush. It was NOT worth the time spent on all these episodes for that uninteresting finale. The MC didn't develop much and Mie is just slightly better, but the same as before. The show had a chance and it missed it by a mile.

We're so close to the end but it's still so much teasing. The only positive about this episode is that the interaction with Azuma made her feelings more "obvious" than before. The interactions are closer than ever, but still nothing. Even the final scene is just maximum teasing and at this point they should just confess already.

That was very thoughtful of Komura. You know we're getting closer to the end when even he starts taking the initiative to match her pace. He needs to have some more confidence in himself - the end is near. Really wishing for a strong ending for a good closure to these illogical settings and endless amount of teasing.

Komura asking the right question toward the end - which is exactly what's on my mind as well. Seeing as though Mie is very open and close but isn't able to reciprocate appropriately - though neither is he. It's just this back and forth teasing and blushing with no goal in sight. Although, she's definitely getting bolder and bolder as the show progresses. It's a weird balance (or lack there of) between the two.

This. is. the. one. This is what we've been waiting for. This is what you'd call character growth. It was a lot of teasing but at least there is solid progress where she becomes a little self aware - and it was all thanks to the events during the field trip. I think I can forgive some earlier mistakes in the show for this. Now it all comes down to how it's going to be handled in the last few episodes.

Another simple, yet lovely episode. A lot of it doesn't really amount to much, it's the fairly standard teasing for a relationship that is just starting to form. It's a lot of "moments" combined together. All of them really sweet. I think they both already know it but it's gonna remain like this for a while.

I was right in my previous assessment regarding the romance. It was very fruitful this time around. I can't believe there was an entire, very long segment about her glasses. An ordinary object like glasses had that much emphasis. Of course, I shouldn't be surprised since this show is all about her glasses anyway. The final moments of the episode were to die for. It's unrealistic as usual, but that is the theme of the show anyway so it's perfectly fine.

A decent episode, not the best. Feels like the same stuff as before but repeated in different situations. But I gotta say, Mie taking the initiative in an indirect manner is a surprise considering the MC hasn't been able to utter more than a sentence. He did, but not as much as she did. We're halfway through and there's still no major development. Let's see how it goes.

This episode was just cuteness overload. The gimmick is still in play but at least the focus is a lot less now that the romance side is picking up. A valentines episode is bound to be good and this was no exception - including the handing over of the chocolates. Great wholesome interactions and definitely one of the stronger episodes in the series so far.

Yeah, the shtick is getting old now. Please end it already. But it's nice to see their romance progressing little by little. As I said before, it's the small silly interactions that are doing god's work here and saving the show from being utterly dropped. Especially the mini shopping segment!

I'm not really sure what the intention is in making Mie this stupid. I don't expect her to be an intellectual at that age, but man, her behavior is that of a toddler just because she can't see properly. And she's oblivious to everything. Right now, the only thing going for the show is the little cute and wholesome moments. And at the very least, it comes from fairly innocent comments which is the "pure" that stands out from these kids.

I don't know for how long they can keep up this gimmick. They took it one step further this time around and made it even more unrealistic. The interactions themselves are funny and cute, especially for kids their age. But I just feel like it's forced by the one gimmick that is pushing all this - her forgetting her glasses. But judging by the final scene of her reaction to a moment that occurred, I think that wouldn't be too bad to further their relationship.

It's no secret that GoHands likes to do over the top animation and angles. Despite all the scenes looking beautiful and detailed, the lighting is overdone and it looks artificial - because it's hyper realistic. And that's not even the worst of the problems. The character designs are good but the character writing, especially for the girl, is weak. They have intentionally sabotaged her for one gimmick and to appease the MC's fantasies in getting closer to her. I personally hope that there is more to her than just her looks and clumsiness. Of course, we don't know much about the MC either - he is stale and overreacts to everything. I'd say the first episode was at least a little enjoyable so there is hope.

I totally enjoyed this series! Unlike other romance series, which either heavily focus on flirting or romantic tension, this series focuses more on the subtle romance between the characters. The story is just so pure (even with how pervy Komura can sometimes sound, LOL) and so wholesome to watch. The development is also very natural, with a highly enjoyable pace. The plot has little to no tension, no rivalry drama (well, Komura's imagination is excluded, LOL), and is simply about the pure love between the two. The craftsmanship is also amazing! The art is beautiful, the visuals are clean and colorful, and the animation is very smooth. I especially love the subtlety in it. The CGI is also great! I love how it's mostly used to clean up certain angles and scenes, which, I've got to say, is some nice direction from the studio. Overall, I'd rate this series a 10/10. It's so wholesome that it's hard to hate.

Although it was a little indirect, I still like how Komura finally got the courage to express his feelings. That said, this is perhaps one of the things I dislike about this series—I kinda hate how cowardly Komura is throughout it, but that's not really much of a problem in my opinion—just a little nitpick on my end. Overall, the premiere ended on a pretty nice note—the narration was great, the visuals were nice as usual, and the backstory was a fun little addition.

Another banger episode! I just can't get enough of Komura's reactions. Every groan, every scream, every action of his is simply amazing. It's not an understatement to say that he literally carries the show. On another note, Komura is actually pretty dense. Well, Mie's not much better either, LOL!

W moments! I’m really loving their time alone together. The visuals, the narration, and the stylish direction—everything is so enjoyable to watch! It’s just too wholesome.

penutup episode yg menarik, meskipun masih tarik ulur akan tetapi sang mc dan heroine sudah mengalami perkembangan yg luar biasa bahkan melampaui anime romcom lain nya. Nilai plus nya adalah grafik yg begitu indah dan niat dibikin inilah yg bikin mata betah selain dari plot cerita itu sendiri. Benar benar anime yg bagus!

disini sang MC mengalami sedikit konflik dengan sang heroine seperti biasa kesalahpahaman yg lucu membuat penonton gemas, selain itu sang heroine juga sangat agresif ke MC. Plot cerita semakin lama semakin menarik ditambah soundtrack yg bermain juga mendukung di episode ini

wahhh saya cukup terkejut dengan keberanian sang MC dalam membantu heroine dalam menghadapi masalahnya. Sangat gentle sekali yg membuat character development sang MC semakin berkembang, selain itu plot cerita nya juga semakin hari semakin bagus.
