And so it begins! The biggest thing in all of sports anime, the Inter-High. This is also crazy because it is brought up in the episode, that this is Onoda's first ever competitive race, and it's the Inter-High. That is a lot of pressure. We also get the first concrete interaction between our main antagonist, Midousuji and Imaizumi. It's interesting to see how this will play out in later.

You can almost feel everyone's nerves before the big event begins. Even without constant action, I was completely invested because the anticipation keeps building naturally. It reminds me of that quiet moment before something important starts, and I think the anime handled it beautifully.

Finally, the rivals met in this episode. It's just the arrival at the venue, and yet there is already tension going on. I really don't like Midousuji Akira's character. But they created this character well to make the watchers more pissed, like me. He's so weird. Sakamichi's nervousness makes this episode balanced, which is so funny.
