A nice action heavy finale but the ending of those fights are also somewhat bland. I think Maria's arc ends up great. Masamune's end is exactly what the series built up to be so you can't be too mad about it even if it's really sad, if anything I'm glad Riko was left with a family-like network of people. I said it in a previous review but I'm really into the themes of motherhood this series explores, they're done well.
Wadou is such an incompetent boss, thank the stars he finished falling from grace. The whole episode felt heavy like a good-bye that keeps on lingering. For the episode before the finale it's kind of slow paced at times but it sets the scene perfectly for the amazing battles we'll probaly be seeing next.
The lengths one goes for love. This was very sad, seeing Masane grapple with having to tell Riko, Takayama doing his best to get the I-series stabilized, Tozawa trying to stay supportive in spite of all. I'm wondering how it will all end.
Such a bittersweet chapter. You can feel Masane going through hell emotionally with all the denial and desperation to avoid her fate.
Very funny episode where Takayama faces his greatest challenge yet: parenthood! And then the ending hits you right in the heart. Masane is doing her best to ensure Riko has a secure place to stay if anything happens to her.
80% of the episode is a slow paced adjustment for Masane into her new boss and her feelings for Takayama, then the remaining 20% goes all in with the action. Maria was scary as an immature person but seeing her maturing give her a new level of menacing, especially with the huge step she takes with Father.
Masane leaving Riko is so sad, but the final episode was amazing. Her choice to protect her daughter made the ending truly unforgettable.
It was an emotional moment when Masane collapsed right in front of Riko. Seeing her daughter witness her failing health makes the tragic reality of the Witchblade truly heartbreaking.
Masane is secretly devastated knowing the Witchblade is rapidly draining her life. She faces the heartbreaking agony of figuring out how to tell Riko, that she is going to die.
It is sweet to see Rihoko and Mariko discussing cooking preferences and planning a deep fried, tatsuta style meal for Masane.
It is funny that Masane tries to force Takayama and Riko to bond as if she is preparing for a tragic end.
Masane looks absolutely fantastic in her office dress attire. The professional look is a stunning change
It was a truly heartwarming moment when little Riko told her mother how much she appreciates her and warned her not to waste money. Riko's sweet words showed a level of maturity and love
It was funny to see Masane’s shock when Riko warned her to stay safe during her dangerous work.
It was hilarious to see Masane furiously charge at Tozawa when he spoke to Riko about her
It is an ironic twist that the NSWF sisters all share the same genes from the same father.
Masane has been completely broken down ever since her daughter was taken away from her. Losing Riko stripped away her happiness, leaving her utterly devastated and hollow inside.
It is heartbreaking to hear that Masane can no longer keep Riko as her daughter.
Maria asking her grandfather if he was happy to see her was a truly heartwarming moment
Maria went too far by being overly brutal during a simple training session. Her extreme harshness showed she treats practice like a real battle
