A nice action heavy finale but the ending of those fights are also somewhat bland. I think Maria's arc ends up great. Masamune's end is exactly what the series built up to be so you can't be too mad about it even if it's really sad, if anything I'm glad Riko was left with a family-like network of people. I said it in a previous review but I'm really into the themes of motherhood this series explores, they're done well.
Masane leaving Riko is so sad, but the final episode was amazing. Her choice to protect her daughter made the ending truly unforgettable.
What I liked most about the ending is that it didn't try to be perfect. Instead, it showed that some battles aren't measured by who won, but by the lives changed and the memories left behind. The emotion resonated more than the action, making the conclusion all the more meaningful.
