Episode Context

Coming off Episode 6's more atmospheric and isolated nighttime encounter, Episode 7 marks a noticeable tonal and structural shift, scaling up from solo ghost cases to a coordinated, ensemble-style supernatural operation. This pivot suggests the back half of the season is moving toward larger, more elaborate set-pieces rather than contained monster-of-the-week stories. At the midpoint of a 12-episode run, it positions Kamui and Shizuka as a duo capable of handling more than just intimate hauntings, broadening the scope of what the show can do going into its final stretch.
