Episode Context

Coming off Episode 7's school-based urban legend adventure with multiple Hanako-san variants, Episode 8 shifts the setting back to Kamui's office and reestablishes the core client-case format that defines much of the season. At the two-thirds mark of a 12-episode run, this standalone case keeps the series' episodic rhythm intact before the final stretch. It does not appear to carry heavy serialized baggage, functioning instead as a tonal palette cleanser that reinforces the show's signature mix of supernatural chaos and ecchi comedy.
