Synopsis
What if your superpowers depended on how much strangers liked you today? That's the deal in Tu Bian Yingxiong X: everyone's got a trust score on their wrist, and if enough people believe in you, you get actual powers. The top-ranked hero, called 'X,' sits at the peak of public faith. Then there's Lin Ling, an ordinary guy who ends up inheriting the superhero mantle 'Nice' after circumstances he really didn't plan for. Now he's stuck trying to figure out how to be a hero in a system where your abilities can literally fluctuate based on public opinion. One bad day on social media and you're powerless. The power system here is genuinely clever: it turns popularity into something tangible and dangerous, and the show isn't shy about exploring how fickle that can be. The animation blends 2D and 3D in a way that keeps the action visually interesting across its 24 episodes, and the soundtrack features Hiroyuki Sawano, so you know the fight scenes hit. If you liked My Hero Academia's take on hero society but wanted something that digs more into the cynical side, or if Tiger & Bunny's corporate hero commentary resonated with you, this scratches a similar itch. It's got the energy of One Punch Man's genre-awareness but builds its own identity around that trust mechanic. Worth your time if you're into superhero deconstruction that doesn't take itself too seriously but still has something to say.

animation is stunning but my least favourite introduction to a new hero yet.
The most anticipated episode, and what a mind boggling episode they went crazy with the budget

Absolutely perfect. The best anime I’ve ever watched. A work of art.
Because of the 3-episode story, there was a lot of pacing issue that doesn't allow room to breath for any other character but Cyan. But the climatic battle was gorgeous, exciting, and creative. The origin of her power certainly doesn't pull punches in hitting you in the feels.
Luo and Cyan's relationship is my favorite dynamic so far. The pacing was a bit fast as Cyan's life was given a montage, so her journey felt a bit short or cut off. But the cameo of a certain salaryman was fun.
Luo and Cyan are adorable and I would die for them. They deserve the world and to run away into the sunset. The cult was an absolute major escalation. I feel sorry for them both.
The never ending plot twist is honestly gripping me. I love Xia Qing. Her and her brother are the candy to my eyes. I love how she works as symbol for Yang Chen's insecurity, never once he have the guts to ask her out. It's refreshing to know she's not blindly supporting him.
Lin Haoling knows how to keep us at the edge of our seats with cliffhangers.
Yan Cheng was not a character I was hype about, but credit is given to a hype cinenmatic moment and he certainly gives it. His moment of heroism is delivered well even if interpersonal problem is pretty basic
The plot by this episode is cliche and predictable. But you do support Lin Ling because of his journey. But TBHX is never out of plot twist and boy did it give us that by the end.
Absolutely the best episode. This is the moment I truly fell in live with Lin Ling. His moment of heroic triumph is truly peak and really tells why he deserve to be a her, and Wolf Girl was such a good villain too.
The amount of twist one episode can have that give us more questions than answer and keep us in suspense. Not to mention the doom yaoi passed by us so fast we didn't even get on board. Good on Moon of being able to do what so few heroine can; exit stage left.
Biggest plot twist ever and it's in the first FIVE FREAKING MINUTES! The pacing barely lets you breath but worldbuilding has you intrigued all throughout the episode and up until the last second. It builds itself into a story where you don't know where it'll take you
It could have been better. Queen's arc concluded too fast without exploring the motivations that push her to become X nor did she clash ideologically with Bowa to allow any satisfying conclusion between their conflict outside of flashy epic fight
Hero X fighting sequence is as mind blowing and unique as I imagined it to be, a celebration of 2D and 3D visual, flexing the imagination and art of the creators while narratively putting him in a different dimension of struggle and existence from the other heroes
What a journey watching this anime. The direction of every plot is really PEAK, everything connects between episodes with so many details not being missed. The animation in this episode is epic, showing X’s aura farming with crazy art direction changes. cant wait for SEASON 2 !!!
Ahu story is here! a cute dog hero. The art style feels unique compared to other characters. The background story is easy to understand, and here we finally get the reason behind what happened in Episode 1. It took 23 episodes to reach this point, but it’s really worth it.
BATTLE FIGHT IS REALLY PEAK. The animation changes are 🔥, the punch sounds and music make it a total banger. The story is very TRAGIC but super interesting and serious to watch, I literally lost track of time watching this episode. And X’s performance is GOATED🔥100/10 episode.
