With the introduction of additional characters, it becomes complicated again. They showed more abilities, but the mission itself feels boring because it only focuses on their side. It’s just a mission where they have to accomplish something without any realistic obstacles. There’s no intellectual engagement from the enemy, so the story feels one-sided for a war. I can't fully grasp their concept of a genius because weapons are objects. Were they trying to say that long ago there was this genius who held a specific firearm which is what they are portraying in this episode? Their theme wasn't strongly established so it's kind of confusing. But at least, this part here has interesting scenes.

This episode was a lot darker and not as lighthearted as the previous ones, it does feel like it was such a big shift. Especially as we're already at episode 9, to have this shift in the last four episodes is kind of a bit too rushed for me. But the general atmosphere of the episode was pretty dark and was able to hold on to that darkness, so I'm okay with that. The addition of new characters is a bit overwhelming for me, and I doubt I remember any of these names. But any diehard fan of the original IP would definitely know all these names and know all of their backstories. The general vibe and the action scenes, plus the whole strategizing that is going on throughout the episode, is interesting to hear. It really reminds you that this is war setting. But again, it's kind of a whiplash, especially if you consider the previous episodes.

Now this is getting interesting, this episode is really goin' somewhere. This is what im expecting to this anime. I can easily forget all those episodes and jump straight into this one.
