In this episode, Koyuki and Minato interact in an adorable way, though there are also some funny moments. This episode feels heartwarming and wholesome. Furthermore, the misunderstanding in this episode is a bit chaotic, but in a funny way. And then, this episode actually makes it even more curious about Koyuki and Igarashi's past.

Nahhh, oh come on, Yota! Give me back my support, bro! I was sooo on edge during that scene—like, come on, bud! Kidding aside, the misunderstanding in this episode is killing me. Like, please! I’m already losing it!

i completely get yota having a massive crush on miki because i honestly would too if i was her friend and i was still in high school please do not make this weird. i also really enjoy koyun relationship with tsukiko. i am so glad she is making friends even if i sound like her grandma saying it lowkey

the narrative pacing throughout this episode is exceptionally well managed. resolving interpersonal conflicts quickly rather than artificially dragging them out for unnecessary drama keeps the story highly engaging. the writing effectively grounds the progression in the empathetic nature of the cast to ensure every interaction feels organic.

Minato acting awkward every time he’s around Koyun, kinda sus 😏 the misunderstandings between the characters are still going strong. I like how Koyun’s past is handled this time, it doesn’t feel as heavy as before and even has some cute moments mixed in. The character dynamics keep getting better, and there’s a tiny bit of progress here and there that makes it fun to watch.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 8 focused on Koyuki's drive to stand on equal footing with those around her, establishing the external effort behind her growth. Episode 9 turns that lens inward, shifting from action to self-examination as Koyuki confronts the fears and self-doubt underlying her behavior. This introspective pivot positions the episodes ahead to explore how her emerging self-awareness reshapes her relationships with Minato, Youta, and the world she's been keeping at a distance.
