The shifts and intrigue around the John Titor thing grow for me! It's interesting to think about those who claim to be "time travelers" even irl. The cliffhangers always get me as well, every sequence feels planned out and structured; yet the audience are as lost as the MCs.

I like that the series' keeps the characters reactions realistic. Makise's reaction relatively normal, who wouldn't freak out after seeing a real ass time machine?? Having Okarin have so many screws loose also helped explain why he didn't freak out, but grow more curious as well.

The developments in this episode cleared up the weird pacing and brain fog aesthetic of the previous two. It turns out what Rintaro was arguing this whole time was possible! The pacing is still really fast, but feels reasonable given how fast the characters are advancing.

Kurisu joining the lab makes the group dynamic instantly better. The D-Mail discovery is a great moment and the SERN stuff starts to feel genuinely ominous. Still building but heading somewhere good.

Future Gadget, Phone Microwave (Name subject to change), with the experimentation continuing, only one conclusion remains. But could it really be possible? Steins;Gate continues its deep dive into the mysteries of time, What type of mystery will Okabe be able to uncover next?

the story is slowly becoming more intriguing. The strange events around the Phone Microwave and the idea of sending messages to the past start to build more mystery.

The Story is Pretty Intense, because The Dialouge Has Comedy plus a serious narrative of this story, make me Hopeful and Encouragement of this episode part

Okarin creates an impossible invention... with a regular home appliance. Mystery continues to add up as Okarin and the lab members find more things to question about the work they're doing, further blurring the line between the truth and Okarin's delusion.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 3 sits firmly in Steins;Gate's foundational arc, following the PhoneWave discovery in episode 2 and pushing the lab members from accidental experimentation toward deliberate investigation of time manipulation. It deepens the Okabe-Kurisu dynamic that becomes central to everything ahead. This is still setup territory in a 24-episode run, but the groundwork laid here is essential for the dramatic escalation that defines the series' second half.
