Watching Rintaro get gaslighted by reality basically. Looks like he's developed some form of time travel?? So many unanswered questions when it comes to the gel banana. The characters introduced here also feel prominent to the story in the future, but the episode feels stagnant.

This episode gave tons of Matrix vibes, the way Rintaro would crash out over remembering something, only to have it completely erased to everyone else was a little relatable, which made it a scary concept.

Continuing with the surrealist concept and plot points, the feature of Kurisu in the beginning gave her a lot of character rather than sidelining her into Rintaro's mystery to solve. I like that the show keeps the individual character's perspectives all realistic as well.

Kurisu roasting Okabe at the lecture is a highlight. Feels a bit slow introducing everyone but the John Titor stuff adds some real mystery. Banana microwave experiments are oddly fun to watch.

Is it really possible to send emails to the past? Okabe finds himself in a web of mysteries, his memory diverging from everything that everyone else remembers and everything that he sees. And admits confusion, a new experiment with a Future Gadget brings a shocking result.

It continues to build intrigue while keeping its unique sense of humor. Kyouma is still hilarious. The way he fully commits to his mad scientist persona is really funny. You feel like something big is happening behind the scenes, but you don’t have all the pieces yet.

As the only one who remembers two specific incidents, Okarin finds himself in a bind on what to believe. He seeks answers on the internet--only to find himself asking more questions. We get a good look on interesting characters involved in Okarin's daily life as well.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the disorienting premiere that introduced the strange incident at the time travel lecture, this second episode deepens the mystery rather than resolving it, pulling Okabe and his lab members further into questions about what's real and what's possible. At episode 2 of 24, the show is still firmly in its slow-burn setup phase — a stretch that defines the first act of the series. It feeds directly into 'Parallel World Paranoia,' continuing to expand the conceptual framework that will drive the entire season forward.
