The tension builds beautifully as the underground shelters face imminent destruction, making the frantic final preparations to launch the ship feel intensely personal. It’s a flawless transition from tragedy to action, solidifying the monumental weight of the journey ahead.

Aside from the slow animation, this episode was genuinely pretty hype. The WWII-inspired visuals were aesthetically impressive and packed with detail.

Yamato's is really awesome and the highlight of the episode. However, I don't think the sequence explaining the original battleship Yamato's history was really necessary. Aside from that, it was another solid episode.
