Spiritpact: Bond of the Underworld

I kinda felt like we still needed another season based on the ending. Ki and Keika's relationship is really deep now, I admire their great dynamics. I really don't like all those BL stuff, though. There were some plot twists but I think we need more of a great ending.

Finally the real enemy reveals itself. I mean we can already find hints as the story builds up but it's better for them to actually realize it. I can say that Jiun is an underrated character for sure, at least for me. And Shouken proved to be a kind character till the end.

The good part of this episode is that they gave clearance to Shouken and learned the truth. He can now finally rest in peace. What I don't like is that it's becoming a drag with all those flashbacks. It's also annoying that they seem to level up the love dramas XD.

Decent episode but I think it could have been better. Is it just me or they just keep on repeating some of the scenes? I also feel like they are leaning more towards some romance and I feel confused. We do get to see some reasoning behind some actions, though.

The Keika and Ki ship is hard carrying this finale LMAO 🤣 They really went all-out with the danmei fanservice, sooooo sweet 😳💕 And the visuals are excellent as well. It’s a shame that this series doesn’t have any more follow-up seasons. This season kinda left off on an unsatisfying note, I want to see moreeee… 🥺

Our penultimate ep doesn’t disappoint!! 🤩 There’s sooooo much tension omg! HUGE final boss battle energy with Sekijin lol. And I do like Jiun and Shouken’s moments here, the visuals are gorgeous and the vibes are so bittersweet…🥺 Jiun is so charming in this episode~

Omgggg Shouken!!! The role of this guy is so sad and tragic huhu 💔😭 Watching this ep was super enlightening… I found myself thinking, “OHHHH so that’s why!!” a lot LOL. But ofc, since we’ve seen all these past events play out before, it’s just a matter of time before we saw THAT happen again, just in a different POV 🥺 I’m so excited to see the next ep~!!

Very cool, a POV shift!!! It’s a bit of like a recap ep vibe here since some of the scenes are just recycled. But I like that we get to go back to the past, really love seeing the true and full story behind everything regarding Shouken… Wowza at this ep’s dramatic reveals… sorry for ever doubting you, king 💔😔✌

Oh dear, poor Tanmoku Ki 😔… and wow we get to see more of the weird guy with the mask who’s connected to Shouken? Hmmmm very interesting and dramatic developments. Gochisousama for all the Keika and Ki fanservice🙏💕 Very good episode for fujoshing out LMAO

This ending is definitely a thousand times worse than last season's, and that one had its silly moments too. The battles are at least more spectacular than last season. You Keika and Tanmoku Ki finally take the plunge and make a complete contract, sealed with a French kiss, reaffirming that they are destined to be together forever and ever (I hope this is the final word, because we were told something similar last season). Then we have a really cliché moment of "all the other families witnessed the Shinryuu doing bad, very bad things. Like wanting to take home a relative we had kidnapped to use as a blood bank, and wanting to kill the most powerful member of our family, whom only our friends can try to kill right in front of us. How awful." They want to tell me that Sekijin Shinryu was wrong in his anger towards Ki, but I think his crime is the least serious of all. They also pull out of thin air that the Shinryu were corrupt and didn't really follow the rules... as if the Tanmoku and company didn't do the same thing, but more blatantly. Seriously, the only good thing about this ending is the French kiss and Jiun's new haircut—she's such a pain, but at least she's pretty. And what kind of ending is that?! You learned nothing!

Finally, the Shinryuu family manages to find Shouken, and... do you expect me to think that's wrong? Excuse me? The Tanmoku family literally have one of their own in an induced coma, with his soul trapped, to serve as a blood bank for the family member he was supposed to watch over and protect. How can they be the bad guys in this story? By the established rules, the Tanmoku family are breaking them. Yes, Sekijin Shinryu is being a complete idiot and is taking it out on Tanmoku Ki when he's the least to blame in all of this, but is that wrong? He's his brother! I'm sorry, Jiun doesn't move me at all; all her actions are selfish and pointless. I don't like this episode because if anyone deserved a heartfelt farewell, it was the person who was always waiting for him. But I understand that this relationship was overshadowing the bond between You Keika and Tanmoku Ki, to the point that he himself has to openly say that he chooses him (Not spoiler, we all know that).

Now we understand what Shouken Shinryuu meant by the role of "Inspector" and what it entails. It makes perfect sense considering the power of the Youmeishi of the Tanmoku family. Because Shouken Shinryuu harbors deep feelings for Tanmoku Ki, he ends up committing actions that make him a traitor to everyone around him. It's heartbreaking to see him go through these events without being able to speak his truth. And we finally understand what his real objective was. Now, how cruel to make Tanmoku Ki relive the scene of seeing his dear friend die. The final conflict is finally coming; let's see if it's as spectacular as the previous season.

In previous episodes, we saw Tanmoku Ki's flashbacks; now it's time to complete the puzzle by delving into Shouken Shinryuu's memories. It's quite interesting to see the events we've already witnessed from another perspective. In fact, we can see the main reason why Jiun is so obsessed with being the head of the family. If we already knew the relationship between the two was beautiful, now it's twice as beautiful. But there's a realization from Shouken Shinryuu that hits him like a ton of bricks (the visuals are so dramatic at this point that they become a little ridiculous). We also see the origin of the song that Tanmoku Ki keeps on his music player. The Shinryuu family is about to reach their goal. The next episode promises to be even more dramatic and intense than this one.

It's time for another grand ritual, and Tanmoku Ki isn't in any condition to perform it, but as always, no one seems to care about his well-being. Luckily, Keika You is there to help him, albeit in a rather fanservice-y way. And again, I don't understand how a family that lives off the most powerful Youmeishi they've ever had isn't capable of taking care of him! You don't even let your star player get injured, not even with a sprain! But Tanmoku Ki isn't the submissive child he used to be, and that's a virtue now. What isn't a virtue is not letting Keika You accompany him! For God's sake! Two seasons of the same thing! The moments between Tanmoku Ki and Keika You in this episode are overflowing with romance.

It certainly reflects very poorly on the Tanmoku family that they were deceived about the obvious kidnapping of THE MOST POWERFUL MEMBER OF THEIR FAMILY. It's understandable that the affected families are powerful, but it's clearly not strategic to have supposed allies trying to kill THE MOST POWERFUL MEMBER OF THE FAMILY. The grandmother, who was so likeable in the first season, now comes across as downright awful. The episode swings back and forth between whether Shouken is a traitor or not; he seems to have hidden activities, but he also appears to be completely loyal to Ki. Now, with the tragedy unfolding, we understand much more about why Tanmoku Ki is the way he is in the present.

Keika You continues to fight against the darkness that plagues Tanmoku Ki, and thus, gets closer to understanding the origin of the tragedy that continues to torment Ki to this day. Tanmoku Ki's friendship with Shouken Shinryuu is incredibly sweet, and you can't say they were just friends; these two were boyfriends. Shouken Shinryuu tries hard to give Tanmoku Ki a normal teenage life and encourages him to pursue his own dreams, but he carries a great responsibility, and being a normal young man isn't possible for him. It's very sad to see how such a sweet young man is pressured by his own family to abandon all individuality for his mission as an exorcist, but in return, they don't protect him as an important member of the clan either; it's very unfair. By the way, I again recommend watching this episode through a platform other than YouTube; there are many audio clips with songs that were removed from that site. Also in this episode, we learn the origin of the hair tie that was so important in the previous season.

Keika You enters Tanmoku Ki's mind looking for a way to help him. It's quite surprising in this episode to learn more about Ki's past and realize that he used to be a much more docile and timid boy than he is now. Jiun becomes quite unlikeable in this chapter as well, being aggressive, even physically, towards Tanmoku Ki. The episode does a good job of making us feel that in his youth, Ki was so selfless and dedicated to serving others that Shouken Shinryuu couldn't help but be moved by his purity. However, Shouken makes suspicious moves that make us wonder how the tragedy began. The part with the horrible old man and the little boy is truly heartbreaking.
