Keika You enters Tanmoku Ki's mind looking for a way to help him. It's quite surprising in this episode to learn more about Ki's past and realize that he used to be a much more docile and timid boy than he is now. Jiun becomes quite unlikeable in this chapter as well, being aggressive, even physically, towards Tanmoku Ki. The episode does a good job of making us feel that in his youth, Ki was so selfless and dedicated to serving others that Shouken Shinryuu couldn't help but be moved by his purity. However, Shouken makes suspicious moves that make us wonder how the tragedy began. The part with the horrible old man and the little boy is truly heartbreaking.
