I really like how this episode widens the show's world. It was interesting to see a bigger threat and more rules in this vampire conflict. The pacing here was good, new information wasn't dumped all at once and was easy to follow. The dialogue also added to the good information drop as it feels more like a natural conversation rather than an infodump or a lecture.
A pretty thrilling episode here, and so many things occurred for Mahiru. What an eventful day for sure. I love that we get to establish the main conflict this early and it is pretty clear cut, and an expansion of potential allies and even enemies. I'm invested to keep watching.
Episode 2 and I like how the story line is moving, we meet the protagonist and get his story from the jump and I appreciate that, it puts a lot into perspective, and we get to start meeting the other vampires too. I am not sure if it's my hearing but its so hard to distinguish the difference between characters based on voices especially when the shot is far... the voices sound so similar that at some point I wasn't sure who was speaking.
