Oh wow, I thought this was just some slice of life school comedy but the ending surprised me. I like how this ep takes its time on Mahiru's ordinary school life before diving into that supernatural plot. I like the character designs here, they are clean and expressive. The dialogue was also well balanced between humor and tension.

A strong debut episode here! We get a brief glimpse of the conflict we're going to follow, and Mahiru looks like an easy to admire kind of protagonist, with his simple but deep philosophy. I'm looking forward to how he handles this new twist to his life.
