WE get to see that Taro is willing to do anything to protect his family.Lu is a bit out of it,but it is interesting that she can still fight even after she takes her "anxiety medication".We are introduced to a physically different Sakamoto and that is the plot twist in this episode.

That fam outing would be lame without the plot twists, I cannot imagine the adrenaline from surviving those rides while literally surviving for real, just insane. Survival mode activated!

Things get tense real quick—more enemies show up, so it’s not over yet. The past connection makes it more interesting too, not just random fights. Still fun, but you can feel it getting a bit more serious.

Boiled pulls up as a petty hater but lowkey pushes Sakamoto to lock in, which I liked. It’s nice seeing him actually get tested. Obiguro looks promising too. Lu’s fight scene was fun and stylish. Good mix of action, lore drops, and comedy. Solid ep.

More and more hitmen from Sakamoto’s past start to appear, and the fights are getting more intense. Will Shaotang be able to protect Shin and Sakamoto’s family? I’m thrilled to see what Sakamoto can do when he gets serious.

This guy talks like he’s in a crime movie trailer. Deep voice. Slow walk. Serious stare. Sakamoto? Unbothered. The contrast is hilarious. The fight feels stylish but still funny. You almost feel bad for the “cool” guy.

I like how each fight Sakamoto engages with reveals more of his previous life as a hitman. The way its done never feels like the exposition is force fed/dumped to the viewer, which could be difficult for some titles. Excellent build-up of stakes as well for each character in their respective fights against Boiled and Obiguro.

Boiled shows up and suddenly this show has actual emotional weight. This episode is the turning point where Sakamoto Days stops being fun and starts being genuinely compelling. A must watch~! 🌟

It's lighthearted and action-packed, showing how Sakamoto’s assassin skills clash with his quiet family life. The supermarket chase and Shin’s surprised reactions stand out, Its actually comedy and danger mix together.

This episode of Sakamoto Days introduces Boiled and Obiguro into the story. While some will find Boiled’s reasons for disliking Taro childish, others may not mind it. At the same time, it’s great seeing someone push Taro to rely on his true skills.

Raises the stakes with clever strategy and bursts of action, shifting focus from comedy to tension while keeping the series’ charm. A smart, engaging step forward in the story.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Following Episode 3's disrupted family trip to Sugar Park, this installment deepens the danger by introducing key antagonists and shifting from reactive skirmishes to more personal, high-stakes confrontations. Sitting roughly at the season's first-third mark, it serves as a critical bridge — the lighthearted setup phase is over, and Sakamoto's peaceful facade is actively crumbling. Episode 5 will build directly on these escalating threats, pushing Sakamoto's resolve even further.
