Most definitely a 10/10.The storytelling is impeccable.Shin is most definitely a huge fan of Taro and he is very helpful with tending to him when they were fighting the twin assassins. We are introduced to Lu who is being chased and Taro decides to help her. This shows that Taro is in fact a changed man and he is keeping his promise to his wife.

English dub is a solid choice, and the VAs definitely didn't disappoint. They really captured the exact emotion that gives justice to every character. And oh, wow! That was such a crazy and creative move to prove a point, Aoi. Women, indeed. Lmao!

New member joins and the squad dynamic gets way more fun. There’s a bit of backstory + a clear motive driving the conflict, and the action pops off nicely. Also reinforces the core theme without feeling heavy. Solid ep.

Ep 2 went crazy fr. Aoi throwing herself off the building was a power move and the fights looked way better. New characters brought so much energy, TMS really stepped up the animation quality here.

Overall, it's not perfect but still worth watching. so lu brings some action and emotional weight, even if the backstory feels a bit rushed. The fights are fun, and Sakamoto flexes hard, but the animation dips in spots. comedy still intact.

An amazing, action-packed episode that also delved into Sakamoto's reason why he stopped being a hitman, and how everyone's feelings about life intersects. So far, the animation style remains consistent and punchy which I quite like!

Two flashy assassin brothers pull up acting like they’re the final bosses. Loud, confident, dramatic. Meanwhile Sakamoto is built like a grocery store owner and still embarrasses them. The disrespect is beautiful. Lu officially joins the chaos.

It gives a sense of insight into the reason why Sakamoto left his job as a hitman. The fight scenes are great, even revealing that Sakamoto isn’t completely invincible. I’m excited to see what kind of allies and enemies come next as we slowly uncover more of Sakamoto’s past.

The gang just keeps growing. Lu Xiaotang rolls in like she owns the place and somehow the dynamic trio just clicks immediately. Twin assassin showdown in Chinatown? Animated brawl energy was chef's kiss. Recommended! 🔥

Episode 2 sharpens its blend of deadpan comedy and slick action, expanding the world while reinforcing Sakamoto’s quiet dominance. The choreography is crisp, the timing lands well, and the series proves it can balance absurdity with genuine tension.

This episode shows that Taro isn’t an invincible hitman. This is an interesting discovery. It will make future altercations between him and other hitmen more suspenseful. Moreover, the episode gives fans some wholesome material regarding its comedy.

Expands the cast and teases the criminal underworld while keeping slick action and comedy front and center. Momentum never drops, making it a confident, entertaining follow-up to the premiere.

The family’s growing… love’s expanding, and so are the problems. The deadpan humor hits perfectly, and so do Sakamoto’s pan attacks 😂 Aoi is terrifying in the cutest way, Lu’s intro was fun, and the animation & BGM are quietly solid.Action never disappoints.

EPISODE CONTEXT

After Episode 1 established Sakamoto's retired-assassin-turned-shopkeeper premise and his psychic partner Shin, this second episode broadens the cast by introducing Lu Shaotang and the dangerous attention she brings with her. The trio dynamic formed here becomes foundational for the season's trajectory. Events in this episode directly feed into Episode 3's 'Welcome to Sugar Park,' signaling that Sakamoto's quiet life is about to get significantly louder.
