Hinako telling Narika she calls Itsuki by his first name mid court change was such a cheap shot and it worked. She almost broke her right there

Narika's face being the problem killed me. Three strategies all flopping and then that makeover bit where she shows up looking like a delinquent after a street fight. That teacher asking who she fought with. Genuinely funny stuff.

This was a slower episode for sure. Narika's whole arc is sweet and the tennis practice was nice but the failed attempts at making friends did feel a bit repetitive after a while. The ending with Hinako in his room saved it though. That line about wanting to be together forever hit. Still hoping the last two episodes pick up the pace a little because the season is almost done and I want more of Hinako and Itsuki actually progressing.

Itsuki getting called out for being a social climber threw me because you know some people really do see it that way. But the way he handled it and the nightgown scene after -- I'm rooting for these two so hard now. Hinako admitting she wants him forever was everything.

I keep seeing people say Itsuki is too plain but episodes like this show why he works. He didn't lecture the guy who insulted him. He just decided not to run from his feelings. That's more backbone than tons of romance MCs have. The tennis scenes were fun too.

That moment when Itsuki remembers seeing Narika train in kendo as a kid and realizes the real her was there all along. Underneath all the 'demon' rumors there's just a person who loves sports and wants friends. Heartwarming episode from start to end.

Narika trying to talk to the kendo girls and they just scream and run was painful. But watching her go from that to thanking Itsuki and Hinako for simply trying -- that shift is why this show works. Also Hinako is clearly territorial now and I love it.

The lollipop getting mistaken for a cigarette had me laughing but the sunset scene where Narika crouches by the wall wiped that smile off real quick. She's way more than 'the Demon of Miyakojima' and I'm glad the show is letting her breathe.

I wasn't expecting that jab at Itsuki about looking like a sycophant hovering around rich girls. Made me pause and think. Then Hinako just walks in and says she wants to be with him forever. No games. That's the kind of confession that lands.

Three failed strategies and Narika still ended up feeling saved. That's the real message here. Also Itsuki confronting that guy for being cold to her was a solid move. Growing on me more each episode.

Narika's story hit way too close to home. That moment where she says they already saved her from loneliness before any strategy even worked -- that got me. Sometimes just having someone try is the whole point.

The male student calling Itsuki a sycophant hurt more than any of Narika's friend-making failures. Then Hinako walks in in her nightgown saying she wants to be with him forever and it all just melts away. This show knows how to hit that sweet spot.

They gave Mr. Tennoji a personality and I appreciate that so much. A rich dad who actually wants his daughter happy instead of treating her like a business asset. Then he's on the balcony crying while his daughter makes real friends with Hinako. Rare L for the stereotype.

I'll say it. Mirei is best girl now. The way she softened around Itsuki and admitted the haughty speech was fake the whole time. Watching her destroy him at the claw machine was peak though. Wait I mean she lost. She lost everything. That made it funnier.
