Not a bad episode, but everything happened so fast. Itsuki getting fired and then earning another chance felt a little rushed.

Episode Context

Episode 5 trades the show's lighter domestic rhythm for something with more emotional weight. The setting shifts to an elite social occasion where family expectations and high-society pressures push Hinako's carefully maintained public image to the forefront. Itsuki's caretaker role stops feeling like a quirky arrangement and starts carrying genuine personal stakes. Kagen and Shizune step into more prominent roles, and Narika's presence adds a useful contrast to the central dynamic. The pacing moves between warm banter, tense interpersonal confrontations, and a moment of physical urgency that breaks the usual tempo. It is still a romantic comedy at its core, funny and affectionate where it counts, but the episode asks more serious questions about trust, autonomy, and what is quietly growing between Itsuki and Hinako beneath the surface of their arrangement.
