This episode is a perfectly watchable episode of a perfectly average rom-com. It's got some cute moments, a little character development for Narika, and a tennis match that's more about the idea of competition than actual thrilling sports action. If you've made it this far into the series, you know what you're getting. It's not going to blow you away, but it's not going to bore you either.

Hinako actually tried. Like actually ran and swung the racket because Itsuki was the prize. That war face scared me more than any villain this season

Narika's console specs speech lives in my head rent free now. She basically said get a better body to run more sports and somehow that made complete sense to me

Episode Context

A brisk romantic-comedy rivalry chapter that puts Hinako Konohana and Narika Miyakojima at odds over Itsuki Tomonari's time and attention. The polished young-lady manners both girls wear in public slip into jealousy, teasing, and increasingly direct emotional games, while Itsuki absorbs the pressure from competing claims. Narika's social-confidence storyline stays in view through small interactions and practical gestures that mark her gradual progress. Tennis supplies the main spectacle, an ordinary school activity inflated into a contest of athletic skill, strategy, and personal one-upmanship. Mirei Tennoji appears briefly, lending the group's plans a humorous aristocratic flavor. The tone stays playful but pointed, with the comedy sharpening rather than softening the friction between the two leads.
