Raven of the Inner Palace

I'd say, really good anime. The pacing was decent, even though some of the stories were a little predictable. None of the relationships between characters felt forced, and it simply focused on the plot. A lot of questions were left open, but I personally liked the way this anime ended.

We should've really had more Dan Hai screentime, man is absolutely hilarious without meaning to be. "HEH? She's worried about that?" made me laugh quite a bit. This was an emotionally heavy, action-fueled episode. Looking forward to seeing how it will end.

I love the flower princess interactions so much, and I never expected her to be such an ally. It's nice to see the people around Shouxue allowing her to depend on them and care for her. The owl looks pretty fkin terrifying though.

A pretty terrifying start to the episode, as well as a pretty terrifying end. The pacing was decent here, and the mystery of the man in the mask was just sad. The visuals also pretty much peaked for this episode. The end also really reels you in to watch another episode, simply out of curiosity.

The most interesting episode so far, it had that twist instead of a predictable ending. I love the focus on Shouxue and how she's able to handle the hauntings quite adeptly. The ending too, makes you wonder what's gonna happen next.

Again, A pretty straightforward episode, the pacing is great throughout and keeps one constantly engaged with the story. I like the little moments through which the characters' personalities are allowed to shine, such as Shouxue's perceptiveness when she notices Yi Siha flinching while bowing to her, noticing his pain and also treating him for it. It's the little moments like these that really make up a likeable character for me.

Finishes up a side story while also progressing the relationship between the two kings. The emperor goes back to being more understanding of the Raven consorts' experiences, and it's quite well done. I love Shouxue's character - she is such a tsundere!

The emperor seems a little colder in this episode; his interest in the raven consort is definitely a little too much - since he already said he trusts her, it's a little weird how rudely he pries into her affairs. Just because he pities her wasn't a good enough excuse for me. Anyway, this is what gets a massive lore drop, so I can't really complain too much about it.

I wasn't a fan of Eisei with the way he spoke to Shouxue, but with the lore from the episode, I can see why he respects the emperor so deeply. Speaking of the emperor, that man needs some kind of ritual to get rid of his very concerning night terrors. Can't wait to see the mystery behind the ghosts the emperor sees.

Good ending to the series but felt story is still somewhat remaining as yet it had some unanswered mysteries in the previous episodes. If you hyped for the high stake battle with owl, then you'd be disappointed for sure. The visuals at the ending scenes were amazing. Overall, if you like ancient type drama with supernatural stuff(also fan of apothecary dairies), give it a try! 8/10

Shouxue, trying her best to better her relationship with Jiu Jiu, was pretty damn adorable. I can relate to her on a spiritual level, cuz social relationships are pretty difficult and prone to misunderstandings. The emperor supporting her to go and mend her relationship was pretty cute too.

Quite a quick story, wrapped up within an episode. I initially thought Huaniang would be an adversary, but it was nice to witness her story. This episode had a lot more mysteries unfold that I'm curious to get answers to. It's also adorable how the people around Shouxue are slowly thawing the ice around her by being kind and genuine.

Watching the two bond over a similar trauma was a little heartbreaking. The episode did highlight the emperor's personality in a much more positive light, though, and it made more sense why he wanted to find out who the jade earrings belonged to. Overall, predictable but still a decent watch.

The episode starts quite literally with a bang, the animation is decent, and the art style is quite simple. The pacing is good at keeping the viewer engaged. The characters have also been nicely portrayed. The emperor seemed to be a little ruthless initially, but that presumption disappeared for me as the episode continued. I also like Shouxue's character quite a lot, gotta love strong female characters who don't get swayed!

This one unravelled everything. You'll get to know about the mysterious character and dark truth of Raven consort. The story of the first half was tragic and heartbreaking- it was written beautifully and the VA did good job(music as well)👏. This episode had some action scenes and were executed well.

It went as usual like mystery solving till got to know some suspicious at end ..Mann! It was scary 🥶. Kudos to Liu to actually trying to fit in to her new world and caring genuinely about others. This was written wisely and kept the mystery hidden. Excited for rest of the story.

Another mystery but wasn't much engaging as the previous one's. So felt kinda bored inbetween 😅. Apart from this, story went as usual with Liu and emperor being 'pushy'( it's actually fun to watch). But the ending made me like 'wohh! What's that!?'

This was full of mystery and twists which wasn't seen till now in the series. It gave me spooky vibes and I like how new characters added such a important plot to the story! And need to appreciate Liu's problem solving skills 👏. And that ending gave such a mysterious vibes. Excited!!

Loving the emotions building up here- from the tragic mystery solving to understanding others feelings, Liu's character development was beautifully written since the previous episodes. It might feel like repetitive since Liu solving the mysteries in every episode, but each mystery has different, tragic stories. Overall, good watch

the whole raven & owl story was pretty interesting but was not completed fully. i suspect there'd be more since this is adapted from a novel. this episode wraps nicely while leaving further part of the story waiting to be uncovered
