📖 SYNOPSIS

"Haibane Renmei" follows Rakka, a girl who emerges from a cocoon and awakens in the Old Home, a place inhabited by other girls with wings and halos. Thrust into a world seemingly separate from the outside, Rakka learns the customs and responsibilities of the Haibane, including working in the nearby town of Grie. The community is bound by the imposing Wall, a barrier that defines their world and limits their interactions with the outside. As Rakka adjusts to her new life, she begins to question the nature of her existence, the purpose of the Haibane, and the secrets held within the walled town. The series explores themes of identity, acceptance, and the search for meaning within a confined and enigmatic environment. The presence of the Toga, who are allowed to pass beyond the Wall, adds another layer of mystery to the world.
