Phoenix Episode 3: Dawn, Part 3

Dark, somber, and downright intense. These are what I would describe this episode. It left me practically speechless from beginning to end. I thought the volcano eruption was terrifying, but man, things just kept going downhill for the main characters. So much death and destruction going on that at times, it was a bit hard to watch. Despite all of that though, they manage to sprinkle some comic relief here and there. A phenomenal episode overall!

An intense, high-stakes episode that escalates the danger on every front! The massive mobilization of the army, flanked by elite warriors marching out to hunt the immortal Phoenix, set a phenomenal scale. Seeing the continuing dynamic between Saruta and Nagi added great depth, while witnessing Guzuri's heartbreaking plight and harsh suffering made the emotional toll deeply palpable. The catastrophic volcanic eruption turned the entire landscape into pure chaos, culminating in an electrifying and completely unexpected climax!

Sarutahiko just has to walk around with that nose now, huh. It seems to be working for him, though. Parts of this episode were surprisingly dark, I wasn’t expecting it to go there.
