From one banger after another, this episode also delivers. It's focused on Sarutahiko and Nagi again, as they are about to participate in a grueling battle. The whole episode is nothing short of emotional. Like the previous episode, there's a lot of death and destruction. No comic relief either this time; just dark and violent all around. The whole episode was a feel trip through and through. Apparently this is where the story for these characters end. If this is indeed the last time we'll see them, then it was quite a ride. An amazing experience for sure, and I'll be looking forward to the next arcs!

A profoundly emotional and tragic chapter that hits right in the heart. The devastating impact of the war scattering everything in its wake created an overwhelming sense of despair, and seeing Nagi endure so much sorrow was truly heartbreaking to watch. The anime is doing a phenomenal job with its world-building and narrative pacing, consistently deepening the stakes and making every turn in the story richer and more compelling!

The last episode of the first story. This story dealt with a lot of different themes; the inevitability of death, the destructive, but resilient nature of humans and the importance of family. I assume some of these themes will be the through line of all of the stories.
