Yura’s back! the exorcist side of things gets more important, plus the yokai vs onmyoji conflict starts gaining momentum.
Things are already ramping up and we haven't even seen the main course yet. And my favorite girl is here! So I'm 100% biased lol. I really like Yura, she's my favorite since I was a child. Seeing what happened to her here makes me think of her development during this season's run. We get introduced to other onmyoji as well, which makes everything much more convoluted, with the succession plot that was set on the first episode already playing in the background. Overall a fun episode.
Following a dense premiere, this episode shifts into a brisk skirmish pace that effectively escalates the tension, making the unfolding conflict incredibly engaging to watch. Furthermore, seeing Yura’s personal stance get shaken adds an intense layer of emotional depth to her nuanced character development. And the striking visual direction and fluid combat animation of this series successfully set the stakes for a much darker approach.
