Synopsis

At a certain trading company, saleswoman Futaba Igarashi has managed to hold her respectable job for almost two years thanks to the guidance of her senior coworker—Harumi Takeda. However, due to Igarashi's short stature, Takeda often teases her and treats her like a kid, leaving Igarashi constantly annoyed by his antics. Despite this, Igarashi notices Takeda's reliability as he is always ready to help whenever something at their workplace goes awry. As Igarashi and Takeda spend more time together, their relationship soon develops further than simply being coworkers at the office.

I understand that Igarashi is too innocent, and she’s not very clear about her own emotions, so sometimes it’s hard to empathize with her, especially because she’s still emotionally immature. I remember that in my early 20s, I was probably a little like this in romantic situations too... but I still feel like I want to push her a bit so she can be more brave. Actually, her whole circle is basically doing that already! Everybody knows! Come on, Igarashi! Next episode is your last chance! On the other hand, Sakurai and Kazama are carrying the show! They just need to make it official, and that’s it.

As the last episode, it was a bit painful to see that Igarashi still can’t completely accept her true feelings, because she deserves to be loved, yet it’s like she can’t fully process what she feels. However, this is a very human thing. It’s part of the process of growing up, acceptance, and self-love. Love is never easy, and to be loved, you need to let that love enter your heart. Unfortunately, she had to get drunk to finally let her feelings out, but you know what? It’s okay. She’s going to be okay. And Takeda will be by her side.

In this episode, Igarashi and Takeda don’t carry the main conflict around Valentine’s Day. In fact, she makes some chocolates and gives them to Takeda, and everything goes well with it. However, the real romantic tension here is between Sakurai and Kazama. Kazama acts weird during the whole episode after a misunderstanding, and all the emotions surrounding this day are focused on this couple. In my opinion, I like how Sakurai and Kazama feel like the real office romance, while Igarashi and Takeda are still a couple we’re not sure are truly meant for each other.
