Watching how Futaba and Natsumi met was very endearing. You can really tell that they are so close now because of their shared experiences. This episode's use of flashbacks is healthily done which expands on the plot but doesn't overstay its welcome by being too long. A pretty entertaining episode thus far!
In this episode, we can see more deeply how Natsumi and Igarashi built their friendship, how it began, how they showed their weaknesses to each other, and how those weaknesses allowed them to support one another.There’s also a very strong message about following our passions even when we are not perfect, and how some people are there to help us see those qualities in ourselves.
A surprisingly heartfelt episode while still keeping the comedy strong while also pushing the emotional aspect of the relationships even further. The pacing feels nice, and the show starts feeling really confident about its cast dynamic.
