It's the valentines episode! I found this episode to be equally comedic and sweet. I do find Hijikata to be particularly annoying this episode, other than that, its a vital episode to watch for the Kazama and Sakurai shippers. Props to the art team for the gorgeous visuals of the chocolates for this episode.
In this episode, Igarashi and Takeda don’t carry the main conflict around Valentine’s Day. In fact, she makes some chocolates and gives them to Takeda, and everything goes well with it.However, the real romantic tension here is between Sakurai and Kazama. Kazama acts weird during the whole episode after a misunderstanding, and all the emotions surrounding this day are focused on this couple.In my opinion, I like how Sakurai and Kazama feel like the real office romance, while Igarashi and Takeda are still a couple we’re not sure are truly meant for each other.
A classic romcom misunderstanding while not making the characters feel frustrating to watch. Well, I guess that comes with most of the cast being full grown adults. Valentine creates plenty of awkward tension and funny interactions, as well as give the supporting cast more opportunities to shine.
