I really love this episode! From the cosplayers’ devotion, to Akira’s sentiments, and even Marin’s goofiness—it’s all simply amazing. I can’t help but feel excited listening to their talks about cosplays. That aside, the craft is as good as usual, or maybe even better.

The props making was awesome and cool. I once learned again about angles when taking pictures. And to Marin for giving off positive vibes. Kudos to the animation quality as well

This episode perfectly adapted the chapter in the manga where Juju got to cosplay as Black Lobelia which reignited her passion for cosplay and Akira's past. The soundtrack really helps set the mood for each scene and the environment art is truly stunning in its realism.

the prop making close ups are FASCINATING. watching tiny accessories get painted and assembled is hypnotic. the workshop lighting is warm and inviting. the sound of tools and materials is ASMR-level satisfying. the craftmanship detail in this episode is next level. 🎨

Akira's mom destroying her manga just absolutely broke my heart, seeing her passion dismissed like that. No wonder that hidden cabinet became such a sacred space for her, I totally get why she keeps her true self guarded there.

Juju's transformation into Black Lobelia was seriously amazing, and I just knew it’d click for her then. She’s always been so worried about her height, so seeing her absolutely nail that mature look must have been such a confidence booster for my girl.

Gojo is still so professional about his doll making even when he is basically learning how to make props for a whole different world now

Poor little Akira, my heart just sank watching her carefully hide away all her stickers and figures, like her hobbies were something to be ashamed of. So when they finally revealed her incredible present-day room, full of all her passions, I couldn't help but smile; it felt like such a victory for her.

The makeup hacks they used to fix Juju's height and chest were insane, and seeing her finally smile in that costume was a great moment.

Marin is being way more mature about Akira than most people would be and her not letting the cold shoulder get to her shows how much she has grown

Marin looked so thrilled making takoyaki with everyone, and seeing them all just chilling in their cosplay outfits felt incredibly cozy to me. I thought it was such a sweet moment, showing how far their friendships have come; it's honestly like they're just one big, happy family now.

Watching Juju see herself as Black Lobelia for the first time was so special because she looked so mature and she really needed that confidence boost

It was actually so cool seeing Miyako talk about how being an adult is better for hobbies because you have your own money to spend on things you love. It made it feel like all the struggle Akira went through as a kid was worth it just to have that freedom to buy whatever gacha figures she wants now.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As episode 11 of 12, this is the emotional runway into the season finale, arriving after Episode 10's challenges tested Marin and Wakana's creative partnership and personal resolve. The episode deepens their evolving relationship and shifts into more vulnerable emotional territory, clearly positioning itself as the setup for whatever payoff the finale intends to deliver. Everything this season has been building toward converges here.
